Easy Kid's Craft Ideas - Let Them Frame Their Art
Kids are full of smiles when they create their artwork. To a kid a simple drawing of a smiley face is enough to make them proud.
This easy kid's craft idea will be fun and will show your child that you too are proud of their work.
How To Create A Work of Art Magnet
Magnet (size is dependent on embellishments)
Embellishments (such as buttons, ribbons, small pebbles, glitter)
Cut cardboard to one 5x5 inch square. Cut one piece of construction paper to 5x5 inch square.
Allow child to draw his/her picture on the construction paper using crayons.
Glue work of art to cardboard. Allow to dry.
Now, allow the child to decorate four popsicle sticks with the chosen embellishments. Be sure embellishments are dry before going to the next step.
Glue the popcicle sticks to the four edges of the picture to create a frame.
Glue a magnet to the back of the cardboard. Size of magnet needed will depend on embellishments used as small pebbles are going to be heavier than glitter and will require a stronger magnet.
Now watch your kid's eyes light up when you so proudly display their art on the refrigerator!
